Sichuan Alkena Textiles Co., Ltd owns 2 biodynamic sericulture bases.
Jiangyou Base was founded in October,1998 which is located at Songhualing, Jiangyou, Mianyang, Sichuan, covering an area of 67ha., of which 40ha for mulberry field and 27ha for ecological forest. Zitong Base was founded in May, 2001 which is located at Hongren Township, Zitong County, Mianyang, Sichuan, covering an area of 180ha, of which 120ha for mulberries and 60ha for ecological forest. Our bases completed their organic conversion in 2001 and 2003 respectively. From then on, all products from our sericulture farms, basically including mulberry leaves, cocoons and raw silk yarn, are certified as organic by IMO Switzerland. Six years? hard work and investment of ? 600,000EURO present us with 247 ha of ecological greenland, that yields 7,500KG of organic silk every year. With such favorable conditions as rich technical experience on organic sericulture and the extensive mass base of organic agriculture, we will firmly stick to our ecological development road, and help the humans to enjoy a natural and better life. |
